Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog. Yes, me….I am blogging…about walking 558 miles across northern Spain. Craaazy!!!
The way is called “El Camino de Santiago” or “Jackobsweg” or “The Way of St. James” – an ancient pilgrim path also known as Camino Frances. We start in the Pyrenees at St. Jean Pied the Port, France and over the mountains on to Santiago de Compostela and then on to Finisterre on the Atlantic ocean.

Dear Vita and Charlie,
we are following your reports and wish you good weather for that grand voyage.
I feel with you as I made on the 10th May a trip through the forests with Linda in rain all the day. I was several weeks ill in April after some mapping in the chilly weather (urinary passages inflammation) and after that trip the same illness has returned in the worse way. I am still at home using antibiotic and waiting for the definitive recovery. It is better and better now. But I am surprised from that as I never had some obstacles of this kind before in spite of my favourite sleeping in the open air and marching in the rains.
That is why I wish you more and more sun and meeting of nice people on the way.
Thank you for facilitating of our spying of your progress.
Josef and Jana
